Eta Omega Chapter

Message from the President:

Welcome to the website of the Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporate., serving the Greater Louisville area since 1922.

Since January 15, 1908, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated has made its membership available to serve, encourage, and promote the needs of others. Our service transcends beyond the boundaries of our community to provide service globally throughout the world. Through the vision of our International President, Dr. Carolyn House Stewart, we collectively, promote partnerships globally with such organizations as the American Heart Association, American Diabetic Association, American Kidney Association, American Cancer Association, National Institute of Health & Human Development Asthma Prevention, Heifer International, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Educational Advancement Foundation.

Eta Omega Chapter fosters these relationships through community service programs, including the Emerging Young Leaders program with middle school girls, Celebrity Read In, Big Brother Big Sister of Kentuckiana, Pink goes Red for a day, and participation in local walks and fund raising efforts of the Cancer, Kidney, and Heart associations.  A signature program of our chapter is   the Derby Brunch, which provides scholarship and assists in the education of tomorrow’s leaders. In partnership with Spalding University College of Education, we also host a Salute to Women Entrepreneurs event, which promotes and recognizes upcoming female minority business owners. In partnership with PNC Bank, our Home Buyers program provides educational tools necessary for individuals desiring to become homeowners.

As a service organization, our goal is to be of service to all.  If you have a need or would like to partner with us in serving the Greater Louisville or global community please contact us. We would love to hear from you.

Visit our web page often for updates on calendar programs open for community support.
